General TRC Roping Rules.

Only USTRC classification (handicap) numbers are used.  For The Roping Company's USTRC Affiliate ropings a current USTRC card is required before the roping starts.  A USTRC card may be purchased on-site at The Roping Company's ropings or purchased online at USTRC or ordered by phone from the USTRC at (254) 968-0002.

The Roping Company has no particular dress requirement.  Just come dressed to be comfortable and competitive.

General USTRC rules apply with legal head catches, leg penalties, barrier penalties, and cross-fires.

The flagger is the arena director.  If a roper/team questions a call/time/penalty/steer etc they must bring up the matter immediately with the flagger.  If a team waits several minutes to appeal a decision it is unlikely for the review to be complete and fair.

Also, per USTRC rules header must face with both ropers dallied and ropes tight before time is called. 

Header may not pull steer from striping chute, this will result in the team’s disqualification.

Teams not showing after 3rd consecutive call will be disqualified.  If your equipment breaks down or you are sharing a horse or an emergency arises...let us know and we will roll your team.  Otherwise please ride in the box ready to rope when your team number is called.

Ropers are asked to clear arena at all times to allow for roping.  No ropers should ride back up the arena when bottom exit is available.

It is the headers responsibility to check for a clear arena prior to calling for a steer.  Re-runs will not be awarded when this responsibility was neglected and previous ropers fouled the run.
