TRC Truck Mania Events Rev-Up Apache Gold, Oct 13^th -14^th.

Two Dodge trucks awarded in two days of quality roping were the successful ingredients for The Roping Company’s Truck Mania Events October 13^th and 14^th at the incredible Pavilion of Apache Gold Casino and Resort in San Carlos Arizona.  The October weather was fantastic and the phrase was true as ever:“two trucks are better than one”!  At least that was the consensus of enthusiastic ropers vying for two ‘07 Dodge Turbo Cummins Diesel Dually trucks. Encouragingly, the #10 and #13 events offered a variety of ropers at different skill levels to compete and drive home the Turbo-Cummins Diesels.

Ropers, if you haven’t yet been a competitor or spectator at Apache Gold Pavilion then you really need to experience the friendly hospitality of the Apache Gold Casino and Resort staff and facilities.

The Truck Mania action revved up on Saturday with the TRC #10 Truck  Event as ropers vied for a 2007 Dodge Quad Cab 3500 SLT Dually Diesel grand prize.  Sonny Cummard entered the short round with two middle of the pack times with headers Charles Justin and Manuel Rico.  Sonny and his partners made two solid runs resulting in a 29 second and the keys to a new Dodge 3500 Turbo Cummins Diesel Truck.  Congratulations to Sonny (and #1 fan Sandy) for his excellence in roping and on the ultimate award of a new Dodge truck! 

Saddle winners for Saturdays #10 Truck Fever started with Sonnys partner Manuel Rico who was edged for the truck by only 3 points but captured the #5 saddle by teaming with Patrick Castillo by adding a 29.93/3 for 10^th in the average.  #4 saddle recipient Mervin Wilson was shut out of the average, barely missing 10^th in the average by teaming with Beto Lechuga for 11^th with 30.38/3 and 18^th with Lupe Espinoza by roping three in 32.52 sec.  Not bad for being out of the top ten.  Martin Pablo knocked down  23^rd  in the Ave by roping three with Roy Cocoa in 33.65 seconds to secure the #3 saddle. Youth roper Frankie Martinez heeled for Allen Pallanes to secure 6^th in the average and the youth trophy saddle.  Senior Joe Gallardo teamed with Elmer Fernandez for 1^st in the average to secure enough points for his saddle. Super Senior Bill Sherwood won points at 5^th place teaming with Avery Harper for the saddle. Finally Leigh Sherwood did not acquire any points but was the fastest on three steers of any woman ropers to take her saddle home.  Congratulations to all of the #10 Truck Mania Saddle recipients for a terrific Fall day of roping at Apache Gold!

The #13 Apache Gold Truck Mania Event Sunday October 14^th drew a slew of salty ropers from all across the Southwest to compete head to head for a 2007 Dodge Quad Cab 3500 SLT Dually Diesel.  Two ropers Jace Loring and Kyle Pratz had 40 points however that was only good enough to tie for 2^nd place points.  Kyle was generous and offered the trophy saddle to Jace without contest.  Kyle was generous with his partners as well helping Nahum Ricco to 42 points with their showing at 4^th along with Nahum’s other partner Wacey Brady at 6^th in the average.  And of course those 42 points were just enough to award Nahum the new Dodge 3500 Turbo Cummins Diesel Truck.  Congratulations to Nahum (and his family) on the awesome day of roping and the ultimate Dodge truck award.  Congratulations also to Jace (and Kyle) and Deivetss for earning the extra-fancy Double-J saddles.
