TRC Dummy Roping
Philosophy:
-
Above all the dummy roping should be fun for
all…as it always has been.
-
Everyone participant should walk away with
something (at least a bag of candy).
- The roping should test
consistency skills that will make dummy ropers better team ropers.
- Dummy ropers represent the future
of team roping...let's give them a reason to keep practicing.
TRC Dummy Roping Rules

-
Other rules
-
Roper must stand behind established line to
throw, otherwise a zero will be given for that loop
-
Roper must pull slack at earliest available
time (No Fishing), otherwise a zero will be given for that loop
-
Roping is not progressive, all ropers will
throw all loops in average
- In case of tie
(for any one of the top 3 average positions)
- Ropers will
repeatedly step back one foot from the previous spot and throw until one
roper misses and one roper catches at the extended length. Points do not
apply for the rope off so that all clean catches are equal.
